The client portal is a central hub for files, drafts, workflows, notes, documents and feedback for you to reference throughout the development of your project. The purpose of this page is to create an organized location to store relevant information, updates and current project phases.

Below are a list of the tools I use to manage client projects (including links to access yours).

  • Google Drive for file storage & sharing (click to access your project folder in Google Drive)
  • Asana for project & task management (click to access your project board in Asana)

If you haven't used Asana before, no fear! It's simple and free! I've created a quick tutorial to show you how to use this nifty little project management tool. An invite to join has been sent to your email address.

The Onboarding Brief outlines the purpose, expectations and goals of the project and helps to ensure that we’re both on the same page. This meeting will take place via Skype (1 hour).

phase 1: brand inspiration

STEP 1: BRAND QUESTIONNAIRE

The first step in this project phase begins with a simple Brand Questionnaire to provide inspiration, guidance and clarity about your brand, business and the clients you serve and helps create a clear visual identity for a professional online presence.

STEP 2: INSPIRATION BOARD

An inspiration board will help us maintain visual consistency throughout your project. Many people get overwhelmed and stuck because they don't know what images to pin to their board so I've created a tutorial to guide you through how to create an inspiration board for your business. 

Don't need a tutorial? No problem. Please ensure that you edit your pin descriptions (so that I can understand why you chose each pin) and save your link within your Brand Questionnaire (instructions in video).

Please note that you can also upload your own images (either branded photos or stock images that represent your brand) to your inspiration board. Follow the steps below (I forgot to mention it in the video).

HOW TO UPLOAD IMAGES TO YOUR PINTEREST INSPIRATION BOARD

First, go to the board where you'll be adding your photos. Select the "save pin" option.

Next, choose "your device" if you're uploading an image from your computer or "the web" if you're pasting the image address from a URL.

Click "upload image"

Next, choose the board where you want the image to be saved. I've uploaded a branded image to the HLH brand inspiration board; you can also upload stock photos that represent your brand.

That's it! You're done.

STEP 3-4: LOGO & BRAND STYLE GUIDE

Once you've completed your Brand Questionnaire and Pinterest inspiration board, I'll create a final brand inspiration board (1 revision) and upload it to your portal.

Next, I'll create your text logo (if required) and brand style guide before moving on to the next phase of the project.
